Privacy Policy
Grabber is a small, self-hosted tool. This page describes exactly what happens to your data — there's no larger company or third-party processor behind it.
What we process
When you submit a URL, the server fetches metadata (and, if you click Grab, the media itself) from the site you linked to, using yt-dlp. That URL and the resulting file exist only in server memory / a temporary folder for the life of that grab.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no sign-in, no personal information collected.
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising of any kind.
- No logs of submitted URLs are kept beyond what's needed to service the request and basic web-server error logs, which are not reviewed unless something breaks.
Retention
Grabbed files are deleted automatically after 1 hour, and immediately on server restart. There is no long-term storage of anything you download.
Third parties
Submitting a URL causes this server to make a request to whatever site that URL points to (YouTube, etc.) — that site's own privacy policy governs what happens on their end. This app itself doesn't share anything with any third party.
